How do I apply to adopt a child overseas?
Your state and territory central authority (STCA) is responsible for managing applications. Each STCA has its own eligibility criteria and you will need to apply directly to them.
The application process can involve attending an information session and submitting an expression of interest, or completing a questionnaire or pre-assessment eligibility test. You will also need to pay intercountry adoption fees, as well as the partner countries fees.
